May 10, 2014 (Saturday), DDD-Boy Scout Day ($4/scout, $5/nonscout) (for Cubs and Webelos also). Scouts can earn the Geology Merit Badge, the geology academic pin or the geology belt loop. Scouts must register. Public is welcome. 10am-3pm.
                                      
May 18, 2014 (Sunday) 7:30am - ~6pm, Red Rock Canyon in Colorado Springs with Dr. Lou Taylor ($50/person). Explore the paleontology and geology of this unique area.  Visit outcrops of the Fountain, Lyons, Morrison, Dakota, Benton Formations and the Codell and Fort Hays members of the Smoky Hill Formation.  Included: 15 passenger van rental and gas. Not included: meals. Learn about the many different environments, landscapes and how they’ve changed over the last 300 million years! These Saturday programs 9:15am-11:30pm will be fully guided by a Dinosaur Ridge geologist and is geared toward adults. Not recommended for children. Walk With A Geologist is available to the public and a $10 fee.
                                                                                                                       
June 10, 2014 (Tuesday), Walk With a Geologist (Members Night). This series of evening programs will be for members only. Learn about the many different environments, landscapes and how they’ve changed over the last 300 million years! The first hike will leave the Visitor Center at 5:15PM, the next will leave at 5:45PM, the next will leave at 6:15PM, and if a group is ready to go the last tour will be at 6:45PM. $8 for members. On the day of the event we will open it up to Non-members if the max of 15 people per tour is not met. Non-member rate is $10/person.

June 14, 2014 (Saturday) DDD-National Get Outdoors Day (Free.) Geocaching will be featured along with nature exhibits from local parks. 10am-2pm.

July 19, 2014 (Saturday), Dinosaur Express (Located at the Colorado Railroad Museum, Fees apply). Dinosaur Ridge will partner with the Colorado Railroad Museum on July 19th starting at 10AM to celebrate dinosaurs and trains! Come explore our giant booth and participate in fun free activities like gold panning, fossil sifting, dinosaur track painting, and a scavenger hunt! You can purchase fun dinosaur toys and replicas as well as fossil and mineral specimens in our gift shop booth. A geode cracking station will also be available, and for $4 per geode you can crack your own and take it home with you! Come see us! September 20, 2104 (Saturday, note 3rd Saturday). DDD- Geohazards (Free.) Geologsts and geophysicists will explain geological hazards. Expert guests will present various aspects of preparedness as part of FEMA’s National Prepardness Month. 10am-2pm.

September 28, 2014 (Sunday), 7:30am - ~9pm, K-Pg Boundary in Trinidad with Dr. Lou Taylor ($50/person). Touch the iridium layer that formed after the impact of an asteroid that led to the extinction of the dinosaurs. The geology along the way is also discussed. October 11, 2014 (Saturday). DDD-National Fossil Day (Fees for Scouts Apply)together with Earth Science Week, International Astronomy Day and International Archaeology Day. Experts will present booths in geology, paleontology, astronomy and archaeology. Guides will be stationed along the Dinosaur Ridge Trail.
