Our West side Visitor Center
The Discovery Center serves as a west side Visitor Center for Dinosaur Ridge to, in part, allow visitors to Red Rocks Amphitheater and Park to experience Dinosaur Ridge.
Masks are required to enter the Discovery Center (ages 3+). You can safely roam and run, learn and debate, and enjoy a National Natural Landmark in Denver’s backyard. Learn more about our new protocols and processes.
Before you go to Red Rocks, check out the Discovery Center gift shop and exhibit. The upper floor is open to the public daily and features a gift shop and an exhibit that focuses on the unique plants and animals that lived in Colorado 150- to 68-million-years ago…the same flora and fauna of which there’s evidence at Dinosaur Ridge and Triceratops Trail!

Discovery Center Exhibits
Explore the animals and environments from Dinosaur Ridge’s prehistory! See and touch model dinosaurs as well as fossil replicas of claws, teeth, spikes, and plates. View a 24-foot long trackway from southern Colorado made by a local duck-billed dinosaur, new in 2019 and watch the process as Dinosaur Ridge staff restores and reconstructs this amazing section of rock and tracks!
Thank you to the donors and institutions who made these exhibits possible with loaned display items:
