Experience Dinosaur Ridge on your mobile device
Experiencing Dinosaur Ridge is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
Our Audio Tour takes you back in geological time and highlights 13 stops along the 2.5-mile round-trip. Travel back 100 million to 150 million years in time along the paved Dinosaur Ridge Trail as you learn about the fascinating lives and deaths of dinosaurs through their tracks and fossils. Discover their habitats through an exploration of the rock layers and fossil clues.
The audio tour is geared towards adults, but children may also enjoy learning new vocabulary and information. For younger children, ages 5-11, consider purchasing our FAMILY FIELD GUIDE in English or Spanish to complete activities along the trail (copies also available for purchase in our gift shop).
The trip will take about 2 hours if you stop at every stop. No water or facilities are available along this trail so be prepared! Bring water, sunscreen, and dress for changing weather.
Download it to your device from home or any wifi source (from home, Main Visitor Center or Discovery Center)
Pick up an audio tour map from the Dinosaur Ridge Main Visitor Center and start your walk at the East Gate Kiosk (preferred starting point, but you can do the tour in reverse from the West Gate Kiosk)
Click on the Listen buttons and start walking and learning!
