Book-signing Reception at Mines Museum with Kirk Johnson and Ray Troll ($10) 6:30 p.m. March 19

Wednesday nights can be so forgettable-- so we've come up with an excellent way to break up your week: meet a couple of characters who collaborated on one of the most informative and entertaining books about American paleontology ever created! It's called "Cruisin' the Fossil Freeway" and on this March 19th evening the author and artist creators will be hanging out in the Mines Museum, signing copies of the just-published 2nd edition that will be on sale along with other fun items. For just $10 you can enjoy some nibbles and drinks and spend a memorable evening in an inspiring setting to benefit Dinosaur Ridge's missions of fossil protection and paleo education.

Meet legendary Alaskan artist Ray Troll and Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History Director Kirk Johnson – the pair who collaborated on “Cruisin the Fossil Freeway” and other beloved tales of fossil hunting in the American West.

Your $10 ticket includes tasty bites from Cheese Ranch and Gold Mine Cupcakes, and there will be a cash bar (featuring mocktails, beer & wine) and books for sale you can have signed by the artist and author. This special reception benefits Dinosaur Ridge & Mines Museum of Earth Science – what a wonderful way to spend a Wednesday night!
