Fireside Chat: Snowmastodon a Love Story with Becky & Christian Shorey

Love at first fossil dig site, and this one was historic!

It’s a tale as old as the Ice Age, and as recent as 15 years ago when Christian and Becky Shorey were newly engaged local science educators volunteering to help dig fossils out of a construction site in Snowmass Village, Colorado.

The two took two weeks to be part of a once-in-a-lifetime excavation that became part of their love story.

The Shoreys will share about their extraordinary experience, along with photos, and information about paleoclimatology in Colorado at the Friday, July 11th Fireside Chat at the Lockley Discovery Center from 6-8 p.m.

Your $15 ticket includes snacks and drinks and plenty of time for Q&A.
