In the mid-1870’s Professor Arthur Lakes came across dinosaur fossils in the Morrison, Colorado area. He wrote to the preeminent paleontologists of the time in his efforts to find funding for excavation. A long accepted timeline of that correspondence has now been updated by the careful review of Dinosaur Ridge Education Programs Director Erin LaCount. At this after-hours presentation, Erin will share her findings and discuss the challenges of reading letters written nearly 150 years ago.
